Mr. Corman show is played by Josh Corman (Joseph Gordon Levitt, who is also the show’s creator, producer, and director). He plays a brooding guy wearing a nice shirt and some glasses. Josh is a fifth-grade teacher, hobbled by doubts after abandoning his big dreams for music. Single for over a year he lives with his friend from high school Victor. On the one hand, Josh can't resist locking himself in the bedroom so he shares with Victor some new music ideas. His daily routine made him remind himself how well-off is he compared to other people. Besides these, he loves his job but he isn't happy. On the other he's unfulfilled and by the end of the day, he feels angry and anxious. Mr. Corman examines how family, relationships, and the state of the world weigh looks on eyes of Josh. He is the kind of guy with all the answers for everyone else but doesn't know what to do for himself. Mr. Corman appears only in the classroom, the rest of the time he is judging other people for their choices. His friend complains that he only reaches out only when he needs them. The matter is that he is self-centered, stubborn and he doesn't stop repeating the same mistake every time. To lift his mood, his flatmate Victor suggests Josh going to a bar. He undertakes efforts to pursue women. At the bar, he meets a woman and goes back to her place. What happens is that all of their dates start as a classically awful attempt at a one-night stand, and ending with insults. He insulted her and the woman hurls the message out clearly. If he's teaching it's because he can't do anything else. But the truth is that he can do something else.
Furthermore About Mr. Corman
The real love of its life has nothing to do with teaching because it's about making and playing music. Still he every day goes to school but this made it even harder to fight his anxiety. This discomfort daily routine is enough to make him call a doctor, and unfortunately, the only doctor that he knows won't be available for two months. Later Josh has a prolonged panic attack. We notice through episodes that whether it’s his literal interactions with Dax or his judgmental attitude in general, it's obvious that Josh is in the wrong and he doesn't realize it. Behind the scenes, the production began in COVID lockdown. In what may or may not have been a pandemic accommodation, some episodes of Mr. Corman rely on two-hander intimacy. While the first episodes of Mr. Corman focus on Josh's struggle while another shift is in process retailing to Victor. Even temporarily they retitled the show, Mr. Morales in the process. Josh only appears only a little bit in the later installment. He is represented in the way how Victor looks at him. This makes you wish that they hadn't chosen to build a show around this guy while having more sympathetic guys around his orbit.
